Welcome to Ladybirds Playgroup's new blog!

Ladybirds is a structured playgroup which starts with free play for the children and an opportunity for the parents and children to socialise.
A music session follows, with the parents and children joining in with singing popular nursery rhymes and songs.
Morning tea is then offered to both children and parents.
The morning finishes with an arts and crafts activity.

The playgroup runs from mid September until end of June.
During the warmer months we often meet for pic-nics in Rome's beautiful parks.

There is a contribution fee for each playgroup session: 3 euros for parents with babies up to one year, 5 euros for one year and over, and 8 euros for parents with two or more children.

There is a roster for the craft activity and we ask that both mums and babysitters sign up to prepare an activity as often as they can.

Children learn what they live

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice.
If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world.
